Claire’s interest in the harp first began when she was captivated upon seeing her piano teacher’s harps. This prompted Claire to begin her harp journey at the age of 5 under the tutelage of Ms Huang Yu Hsin, a harpist of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Ever since, her journey exploring the harp has been extensive and fulfilling, marked by numerous performances and achievements. 

From a young age, Claire has had the privilege of sharing her love for the harp with audiences through performing at various events, including recitals, weddings and charity galas. Claire’s notable local appearances include her performance at her school’s Honours Day, the Eye Ball hosted by the Singapore National Eye Centre, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital Charity Gala and the MUSZA x Dementia SG Charity Gala. Apart from gracing the local stage, Claire’s love for the harp has given her the honour of representing her country on the global stage. In 2022, she was recognised as a finalist in the first edition of the Lira Helvetia Harp Competition organised by Harp Festival Zurich. The following year, she was invited back to Zurich to perform together with the other finalists. Since then, she has been under the mentorship of Alexander Boldachev, an internationally acclaimed award-winning Swiss-Russian harpist. 

Other notable achievements include obtaining an A1 with distinction in performance for the O-level Music Elective Programme. She was also recognised as the best in Music Elective Programme in her school. In addition, Claire completed the ABRSM Grade 8 harp examination with a high distinction under the meticulous care of Ms Huang Yu Hsin.

Claire aspires to continue her harp journey, sharing the joy of music with those around her through her performances.
